What is the Challenge Fund for Journalism?
It is a grant program to help journalism organizations broaden their base of financial support through challenge grants, fundraising training and organizational development coaching. The challenge grants require a 1:1, 1:1.5 or 1:2 match. The Challenge Fund for Journalism provides many other opportunities for grantees including networking with other journalism organizations and board development and training sessions. The Challenge Fund for Journalism is now on its fourth cycle, and UNITY participated in the first cycle. The alliance partners have all participated in one of the past cycles as well.
