We know diversity matters. But what is your newsroom doing about it? The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) is where reporters, editors and media innovators gather to answer that question.
Each year, AAJA gathers to train journalists of all career levels so they can return to their newsrooms with the latest and emerging skills in the industry. We connect journalists with potential employers through our career fair and networking opportunities. We work to help diverse journalists get jobs and grow.
AAJA is the place for real talk: Why isn’t there enough diversity in our newsrooms? How do we tackle racism in news coverage and on the job? We address these issues head-on.
And we have fun, too. Come for the jobs, stay for the karaoke night to close out convention.
It’s time to Rise & Revolutionize. Let’s rise as journalists, and revolutionize how we cover communities of color.
